How to retest
Use the same Handexer unit, handle setting, body position and verbal encouragement. Complete three trials per hand and retain the highest value.
Evidence and limitations
The international percentiles pool 2.4 million adults and are harmonised to a hydraulic reference dynamometer. Handexer readings are useful for consistent tracking but are not assumed interchangeable with Jamar/hydraulic measurements.
